I have chosen Diane Karius and Sir Toby, RN CGCA TKA, to honor for their perseverance. I remember the first time I met Toby, I went home and commented to my husband he was a handful. Little did I know he would become a training project for the next few years. I have commented to my husband a lot about Toby, sometimes while banging my head against the wall because the latest idea didn’t work the way I had hoped it would.

Quite often life gets in the way and our lives get hectic and we aren’t as always persistent as we should be. Perseverance comes into play when you continually return to the same goal until you are successful. I have had people compliment me on what a great job I did with Toby. I always remind them that his owner plays the hugest part in this transformation. Without her perseverance, commitment and unwavering determination Toby wouldn’t be the dog he is today. Toby doesn’t live with me, I don’t have his leash or his undying love, his owner does.

As of last weekend Toby needs 1 more qualifying leg to achieve their current goal of the Rally Intermediate title. A testament to perseverance. Here are a few pictures captured over the years of Toby, the one thing Toby will always possess is his uncanny ability to cheer you up and make you laugh even if he is being totally disobedient.
